What is Canadian Design?

Designed as a collaboration between Florence Huynh, Leo Saltzman-Weniger, Hayden Droog and Graham Willette, B O W seeks to answer.

Honest in its use of materials. Unobtrusive in form.

Held together without screws, glue or bolts, the tension from a series of cables keep the chair from falling apart and create a unique design feature. B O W strives for elegant functionality, rather than competing for attention.

This was an eight week long project that resulted in three full scale, working prototypes of B O W, a bent plywood chair that is defined by Canadian design.

Coming Together

B O W in white maple.

Once the forms were pressed, the top and bottom halves were cut out to shape. There was no turning back now.

B O W comes in white maple and black walnut, with a variety of cushion options.
