Classic Wetshaving Brushes

Mosaic

It all started when...

Mosaic Brushes is the original project that inspired the Mosaic series of items. The brushes were a personal challenge, a combination of seeing so many pieces of wood whose only crime was being too small go into the trash, a desire to refine my lathing skills and a passion for woodworking.

The bristles are 20mm black badger hair and the brushes themselves are intended for classic wet shaving. They are a unique accessory that can be used both practically and as a display piece.

The handles come in a variety of shapes to suit each individual’s needs; they are ergonomically designed so any size hand, both men and women, can find one that is comfortable.

Process...

1. The completed block. It looks like some sort of Rubik's cube.

2. Knocking off the corners and cutting a slice off for a different project. Waste not.

3. Putting it on the lathe and sandpapering.

Old school cool.

As for that one leftover slice...
